Yes, it’s non-invasive and safe. It’s not painful, and lasting negative effects are extremely rare. Temporary side effects could include fatigue, headaches, or mild sleep disturbances – but again, these happen very rarely.

Neurofeedback is generally a non-invasive and gentle therapy, and most clients find it relaxing – even calming or meditative.
In many of our sessions, we use traditional neurofeedback, which doesn’t involve any electricity entering the brain. It simply reads brain activity using small sensors placed on the scalp, similar to how a heart monitor tracks your heartbeat.
However, we also offer advanced approaches like neurostimulation and microcurrent neurofeedback (such as LENS, Neurofield, and tDCS). These methods do involve very low levels of electrical current delivered to the brain, but they are safe, carefully administered, and well-tolerated by most clients.

This depends on your immediate needs. If you already know you’d like to incorporate neurofeedback into your treatment plan, we map your brain (with our non-invasive qEEG technology). Based on what we find, we come up with a personalized training plan unique to your specific brain pattern.
If you’d like to start with talk therapy, getting to know you is what we focus on first – what brought you in, what life’s been like, and what you’d like to work toward. Then we dive into what you’re struggling with day-to-day, whether that’s anxiety, relationship issues, or trauma that still feels unresolved. From there, we’ll create a personalized plan using approaches like CBT or EMDR to help you move forward.
*Talk therapy sessions last an hour, while neurofeedback therapy sessions generally last around 45 minutes (we recommend infusing the two therapies together for best results).
